Fontshop has launch a new service call FontStruct that allow anyone to build their own font online.

This wonderful application is simple, straight forward and easy to use. Instead of using professional complicated font design tool, the apps preset the a lot different “block” for the font structure usage, in fact the variety of the different block is good enough for you to create any shape that the font design required. It may not be enough for the professional font designer (that uses path tool & more define control such as kerning) but it’s good enough for decent font creation.

The only wish I had was it allow you to upload an image for you to trace the sketches, otherwise it may be painful for the consistency and lot of time spend on back and forth.

The gallery of the user’s creation has proved that the limit is your creativity. There’s more then thousand of font has been created and the best is they are open for free download. Did I just mention it free?
